Born and raised in Waynesville, NC, Gloria moved to Hickory in 1987 after receiving a Business degree from Haywood Community College. She continues to work full time at local company. While living in Waynesville she dabbled in fitness. Upon her move to Hickory, she joined a local fitness club, which advanced her interest in a healthier lifestyle that included fitness training. Since then Gloria has explored many aspects of fitness starting with jazzercise and advancing to running a marathon in 2000 and several half marathons, 10K and 5K runs.
Now certified as a fitness trainer through AMFTP and in Yoga through YogaFit, Gloria began fitness training in 1998 with the HHS Cheerleading Team, as well as individuals in their homes and joined Body Dimensions in November of 2005. Along with speaking at numerous events on the subject of fitness and nutrition, Gloria loves to work with clients, ranging from teenagers to seniors to improve their fitness but stands by her doctrine that 80% of your results are what you eat! She believes that looking and feeling your best is a great result of working out but the most important reason to work out is for your health and longevity.
 Sandy McRae828-234-2818 - sandy@bodydimensions.net
Sandy McRae has lived in the Hickory area for 37 years. She is a graduate of Bunker Hill High School and has been married for 18 years. Her desire to be fit is what first brought her to Body Dimensions Fitness. After becoming a client of Gloria Trull's and training very hard, in 7 months she accomplished her personal goal and lost 34.4 pounds. Sandy says, "I had not only reached my personal goals but exceeded my expectations! I decided to become a Certified Personal Trainer in 2009 because I want everyone to feel the way I felt once I lost my weight and accomplished my goals." She began running and accomplished another personal goal when she ran her first 5K. She was surprised to enjoy running and continue to do so.
Under the organization and leadership of Sandy the 16 "workmates" at her place of employment entered into a weight loss contest. It was very successful and they began healthier lifestyles with Sandy's help. Sandy has reached another personal goal by becoming qualified as a Personal Trainer and is now certified thru AMFPT. She has certification for CPR and First Aid as well and plans to continue her education in other areas of health and fitness. Sandy says, "Since sharing my goal to become a certified trainer with Gloria, she has allowed me to become her prodigy. I now want to help others achieve their goals too!"
Russ Meade
828-612-7921 - russ@bodydimensions.net
Russ grew up in a military family and went to 13 schools in 12 years. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps upon graduation from high school. After completing his commitment to the Marines, Russ went to Lenoir Rhyne University where he played football and graduated in 1994. After the events of 9/11 Russ reenlisted in the Marine Corps and deployed to Fallujah, Iraq in 2005 as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom III. We are honored to have this true "American hero" residing in Hickory and with his three teenagers.
Prior to re-enlisting in the Marines in 2005 Russ hired a personal trainer to prepare him for the rigors of combat. But not until 2009 when he totally changed his diet did he see the physical change and he was very interested in helping others experience the same changes. His commitment to helping others reach their fitness goals prompted him to become certified by AMFPT as a personal trainer. Russ firmly believes our bodies adapt well to stress and that we need to mix up and change our workouts for optimal results. He also emphasizes long lean muscles by proper stretching and is a firm believer in 5-6 small meals per day. Russ will tell you, "If you get hungry, you have already lost the battle." Through fitness training and proper diet Russ wants to educate and encourage others to become fit and healthy.
